Blonnie Bunn Wyche, 79 of Wilmington, NC and formerly of Hallsboro, NC died Wednesday May 2, 2012 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Bonnie David Bunn and Iola Finch Bunn; she also preceded in death by her former husband Mr. Cyril James Wyche.

Mrs. Wyche was a former member of the Hallsboro Baptist Church where she served as organist and choir director. She was an Elementary School Teacher with Acme-Delco school in Columbus County for over 25 Years. She was a member of the Historical Society of the Lower Cape Fear. She also was very active in several writers groups and Historian Preservation groups. She wrote several books including, The Anchor and Cecelia's Harvest. In addition she wrote numerous Short Story articles and Poems'.

Survivors include sons; Graham Clark Wyche & wife Teresa of Moravian Falls, N.C. and David James Wyche and wife Tracy of Mooresville, N.C.; sister; Frances Phillips of Morehead, City, N.C., two Grandchildren ; Clark Wyche and Victoria Wyche, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Saturday, May 5,2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel with Wayne Blythe officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisburg, N.C. at 4:30 p.m.

Visitation will be Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 prior to the service at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Historical Society of the Lower Cape Fear in Wilmington, N.C. or to the New Hanover County Library.
