Jackie Hunt Cox, 61, of Calabash, NC, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Robeson Co., , the daughter of the late Vernon and Hazel Locklear Hunt. She loved gardening, softball, traveling and being with her family and friends.

Surviving is her daughter, Tracie Taylor of Fayetteville, NC; four sisters, Mary Plowman of Florence, SC, Vernie Hunt of Stedman, NC, Liz Cook of Chattanogga, TN, and Linda Clark of Norfolk, VA; two brothers, Ronald Hunt of Atlanta, GA and David Hunt of Norfolk, VA; two aunts, Juanita Humphery and Dot Vanover, and one uncle, Wade Locklear all of Jacksonville, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her residence, 156 NW Calabash Rd., Calabash, NC.
