Gerald Milton Britt, age 75, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019, at the Davis Health Care Center, in the warm embrace of his family.

He was born on August 23, 1944, in Wilmington, NC, the son of the late James Milton Britt and the late Addie Cotton Britt.

Together with his parents Gerald was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years Kathy Futrelle Britt. He is survived by his two sons Gerald Milton Britt, Jr. and his wife Gina and Brandon Michael Britt and his wife Michelle and five grandchildren Megan Michelle Britt, Abby Diane Britt, Elizabeth Graceann Britt, Addison McKenzie Britt and Gerad Britt.

Gerald enjoyed many outdoor activities, but most especially Fishing and Camping in the company of his grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for a Memorial Service to be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel 1535 S.41st Street Wilmington, NC 28403.

In lieu of flowers memorials made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter at tmcfunding.com in memory of Gerald, would be greatly appreciated.
