John Francis Golden, Sr., 79, passed away August 20, 2021, at The A.R.C. in Jacksonville, Onslow County, NC. He was born on May 28, 1942, in Washington DC, District of Columbia, to Philip Gerard Golden and Catherine McAleese Golden.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Vonne Zellars Golden, sons, John F. Golden Jr. (Jenni) of Chapel Hill NC, and Richard Golden (Valerie) of Wilmington NC; daughter, Melanie Wells (Michael) of Cochran Ga; two brothers, Philip Golden and Terrance Golden, one sister, Sheila Pintoy and four grandchildren Zachary, Andrew, Damon and Jonah.
