Ronald Jeffrey Stack of Leland, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the age of 73.

Ron was born in Chicago, IL on September 24, 1947 to father, Albert August Stack and mother, Elaine Marie Stack. Throughout his childhood in Michigan, Ron loved sports and was an impressive baseball pitcher and ice hockey player. He attended Michigan State University receiving both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree and was always a very proud Spartan. Ron will be remembered as a devout Catholic. Through one of his most beloved ministries, he wrote hundreds of letters corresponding with the incarcerated who were seeking forgiveness, redemption, and a relationship with God. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Asher, Charlotte, Connor, Katie and Kiley, who affectionately called him “Dziadzio.”
