A.C. Bryant, Jr. 80, of Leland, NC went home to be with his Lord with his family by his side on July 9, 2013.

A.C. was born in Wilmington, NC on January 27, 1933.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie Bryant, Sr. and Elneda Ballard Bryant, a brother, Bobby Bryant, sister Durema Wilson and grandson Zachary Desjarlais.

A.C. is survived by his wife of 59 ½ years, Shelba Bryant, his brother Ernest Bryant (Juanita), his children Diana Bryant Nash (Chuck), Ben Bryant, grandchildren Shannon Reynolds (Dan), Sarah Gatlin (Tyler) Rebekah Bryant and Jennifer Booth (Jason.), great grandchildren, William Reynolds, Aaron Booth, Emily Booth and Lily Gatlin.

A.C. was a U. S. Navy combat veteran of the Korean war. He was a member of the Train Busters Club while serving in Korea. He was retired from Federal Paper Co. after 40 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved nothing more than working in his garden. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Leland and a lifetime member of D.A.V Chapter 11.

Per his request there will be a Graveside service with Military Honors 2 pm Friday afternoon July 12, 2013 at Oleander Memorial Gardens with military honors.

The Patriot Guard will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church in Leland, NC.
