Albert Anthony Mangino

Albert Anthony Mangino, age 91, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

He was born in New York, NY on September 7, 1927 the son of Antonio Mangino and Maria DeCarlo Mangino.

Albert worked for many years as a Music Teacher inspiring students to hone their skills and create beautiful music mostly in the Babylon School District on Long Island, NY.

He served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army.

Family and friends will gather for a Visitation to be held from 5:00pm till 7:00pm on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary, 412 Ann Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.

Albert will be buried at the Long Island National Cemetery at Pinelawn, NY on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, There will be a rendering of Military Honors in recognition of Albert’s honorable and faithful service to his country.
