Albert Jacob “Bert” Lehmann, III., 70, died unexpectedly on September 10, 2021.

Bert was born on September 10, 1951 to the late Albert Jacob Lehmann, Jr. and Edith (Marhoefer) Lehmann in Albany, New York.

Bert was the fourth generation to own and operate Lehmann’s Garage, an auto repair facility located in Selkirk, New York. He was an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician who served the community for over 50 years. Lehmann’s Garage continues to be family run and is celebrating 100 years in business. Bert was a lifelong resident of Selkirk, New York until happily retiring to North Carolina with his wife, Linda. He enjoyed camping, motorcycles, watching NASCAR events, tinkering on projects and spending time with those closest to him. Bert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a great friend.

Bert is survived by Linda (Weddell) Lehmann, his loving wife of 44 years whom he married on April 30, 1977, his two loving sons and their wives, Jacob A. Lehmann (April) and Harrison D. Lehmann (Erica), his three grandchildren, Jodie Hazel, Albert Jacob “AJ” and Ella Josephine, all of whom he adored. Bert is also survived by his sister and her husband, Elsie Wilsey (Elmer) and his many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Henry Hudson Park in Selkirk, New York. The service will begin at 11:00 AM. The family invites you to join them for lunch afterwards.
