Alberto Antonio Balp age 63 of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

He was born February 26, 1952 in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico to the late Alberto Balp and Marie Lambert Balp.

Alberto was retired as a professional Architect and draftsman and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Vera Balp; son Capt. Jose Balp and his wife Jacquie of Atlanta GA and granddaughters, Isabelle and Evelyn Balp. Brothers, Andres Balp of Houston, TX and Miguel Balp of San Antonio TX; sisters, Joanne Balp of San Antonio, TX, Susana Balp of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Patricia Balp and husband Miguel Puig of Mexico and various nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Moises Balp.

A memorial mass will be celebrated 9 am Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
