Al Cimino went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 27, 2021. He was 78 years young. Al was born on February 16th 1943 in Palermo, Sicily, Italy.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe Cimino and Maria Papandrea Cimino. He was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Susan Schroers, Krystle Lynn Schroers, Lindsey Jean Schroers, and Chloe Marie Schroers of Virginia.

Al is survived by his wife, Lee Cimino, his two sons, Stephen and Thomas Cimino. His step-daughter, Denise Dunn and her husband Rick Dunn, as well as his step-daughter Victoria Nelson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elissa, Adam, Anthony, and Joseph Cimino, Kristen and Elke Nelson, Michele Moon, Melanie Eye, and Joey and Nick Schroers. Al also had the honor of having two great granddaughters, Fiona Sue Eye, and Isabelle Michele Moon. Al was a much loved parent, grandparent, and a great grandparent. Al was an only child, but, he certainly acquired a large family. He will be sorely missed by all of his family and many church and work friends.

Al came to the United States with his parents, Giuseppe Cimino and Maria Cimino at the age of 6. Al was a member of Myrtle Grove EPC. He served as both a deacon and an elder at the church. He was also a real estate broker at Network Real Estate for almost twenty years. First and foremost Al loved Jesus Christ, his wife of 39 years, his family, his church family, America, gardening, music, and last but not least the New York Yankees. His passing has left a hole in all of our hearts.

A memorial Service will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 6pm Myrtle Grove Presbyterian EPC, 600 Piner Road, Wilmington NC.

    I just saw this today. I did not know about the memorial and funeral. I would have attended. Al was a bright ray of sunshine to be friends with. I meet him and worked with him at network. His smile us one I will forever remember.
