Alice A. Razzano, 79, of Leland, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Alice was born in Bradford, PA , and had been a middle school teacher for over 30 years until she retired to Leland, NC.

While living in Leland, Alice served as president of the North Brunswick Newcomers Club, the vice-president of the Westport HOA, a board member of both the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce and the Wilmington Symphony as well as program chair of the Friends of Leland Arts Council.  She also served as a volunteer at the ILM Airport Information desk where she continued to help others as she so often did and loved.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Razzano of Maryland and was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Jerry as well as her sister, Mary.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary in Wilmington.

Gifts in her memory may be sent to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Davis Community 1011 Porters Neck Road, Wilmington, NC 28411.

    Alice was an inspiration to many of us in North Brunswick Newcomers Club. She was president for two years while the club grew by leaps and bounds. She helped me so much when I became president after her. She will be sorely missed by all.
