Alice “Pattie” Gibson Hanson

Alice “Pattie” Gibson Hanson passed peacefully surrounded by family while vacationing at the beach she loved on July 1, 2021.

She was born August 20, 1944 to Jeannette and William Gibson of Medford, New Jersey. She was the wife of the late Robert “Bob” Hanson of Queens, NY, with whom she enjoyed 50 happy years of marriage.

Pattie will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, always ready for a day at the beach, a concert, or entertaining family and friends at home. Pattie was a devout Christian and member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wilmington. She and Bob made many friends in Wilmington, and the family would like to express their deep gratitude for their unwavering love and support.

Pattie is survived by three children, Beth Lucas (Paul) of Cary, NC, Ken Hanson (Anna) of Wilmington, and Terry Hanson of St. Augustine; three grandchildren, Evan, Madison, and Jacob Lucas.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 16 N 16th St, Wilmington, NC 28401.
