Allison Faye Thorpe, age 57 of Rocky Point and formerly of Wilmington passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center.

She was born in Wilmington, NC on September 29, 1956. Her parents were Jim Thorpe and Faye Beatty Thorpe.

Allison grew up in Wilmington and graduated from New Hanover High School, Class of 1974. She attended East Carolina University where she studied Art and History. Allison was a talented artist, she enjoyed music, designing and making pottery, gardening, and was a professional landscape designer.

She is survived by her sister, Wanda Thorpe of Rocky Point along with aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and her cat “Sookie”.

Celebration of Life ceremony will be held 2 PM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel officiated by Certified Life Celebrant Noni Sanders. The family will see friends an hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
