Amelia “Amy” Barthelmes, 63 of Leland passed away June 29, 2009.

She is survived by son Francis R. Cote and wife Lisa, of Boiling Spring Lakes, daughter Dawn M. Wadsworth, of Winnabow, eight grandchildren Crystal, Shannon, Kelli, Ricky, Faye, Amy, Zachary and Summer, and 9 great grandchildren, lifelong friends Denny Wadsworth, George and Verna Jansen.

Amy was a devoted Jehovah Witness and a member of the Leland Congregation. She was a loving mother, Nana and friend to all. She was best known for her recipes.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:30 PM, Monday, July 6, 2009 at her residence. A Memorial service will be 3:00, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Leland.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 177 Old Fayetteville Rd, Leland, NC 28451

    i truly am so sorry for Richard and Dawn her children, for the loss they have suffered, along with her grand children and her great children, she was a sweet caring loving lady and it was my privilege to know her i considered her my friend and my confidant. she was a great listener and always wanted to help. i surly will miss her with all my heart
