Andrew “Andy” Homer Willis, age 68, of Wilmington passed away March 5, 2013 at his residence.

He was a heavy equipment operator, a veteran of the US Army, a volunteer fireman for over 20 years, and a member of Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church.

Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Willis of Wilmington; a son, Andrew “ Mitchell “ Willis (Tina) of Castle Hayne; a daughter, Michelle Willis Mitchell (Steve) of Rocky Point; grandchildren, Michelle Stanford, Andy Stanford, Daniel, Mandy, Felecia, Jessica, Nevaeh, and Madison;1 great grandchild, Garrett Stanford.

Funeral services will be 2 PM. Friday March 8, 2013 at Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church with Rev. Randall Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at the church.

    It seems like just yesterday all of us kids were spending our time at Mrs. Bell's little store on Mercer and now one by one Jesus is calling us home.
