It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Andrew “Drew” Michael Kincaid on the 2nd of May, 2022 in Leland, NC.

Drew was born on March 3, 1974 in Cincinnati, OH to Mike and Sheryl Kincaid. In addition to Cincinnati, Drew lived in Detroit, MI and Arlington, TX during his childhood and early adult years where he graduated from Martin High School and attended Texas A&M. He then moved to Cleveland, OH where he lived until moving to Leland, NC for a warmer climate.

Drew was a huge sports enthusiast, playing soccer, baseball, basketball and football and watching any kind of sport on TV. He became a dedicated Cleveland Indians (never the Guardians!), Browns and Cavaliers fan. He remained a diehard University of Michigan fan but also always rooted for Marshall University sports to please his parents! He and his Dad traveled to watch Marshall compete and win the 2020 NCAA Soccer Championship. Drew loved March Madness and had a dream to attend a Final Four Championship. Drew also enjoyed being a trivia buff, specializing in sports, of course, and music, particularly Classic Rock.

Drew is survived by his parents Mike and Sheryl Kincaid of Leland, NC, his brother Wesley Todd Kincaid of Arlington, TX, aunts and uncles Hugh & Marcia Hinshaw of Huntington, WV, Sandra & E.A. Dowling of Proctorville, OH, and Jeffrey Kincaid of Huntington, WV, and cousins Nathan Hinshaw of Huntington, WV and Zachary Hinshaw of Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at First Baptist Church of Wilmington at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Following the service, there will be a time of visitation and fellowship at the church. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Salvation Army, Good Shepherd, Paw’s Place or the charity of your choice.
