Andrew Stephen Hendrix, 34, passed away on Monday 15.May 2017 at his home in Wilmington, NC.
He was a graduate with a B.S. in Biology from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC and did environmental studies at UNC Wilmington. He had graduated from Rocky Mount Senior High in Rocky Mount, NC.
He expressed himself with art all his life – the photo shows him working on clay sculptures at Wilmington’s Fat Cat Pottery, his home away from home. He was a loyal member of the Carrabba’s Restaurant team and served as a volunteer for the ARC in Wilmington for several years.
He is survived by his parents, Robert A. Hendrix M.D. and Karen E. Bessey as well as sister, Erika K. Hendrix and brother, Allan Scott Hendrix.
A CELEBRATION of ANDY’S LIFE will be held at Carrabba’s Restaurant, 15 Van Campen Blvd, in Wilmington, at 1 PM on Friday, 19May 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the AUTISM SOCIETY of NORTH CAROLINA, the ARC of NORTH CAROLINA, and / or NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Health).
