Memorial Gifts & Donations

Today, I am taking this moment to share my memories of my dear child, Angel Dereck Gonzalez Calix. He was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on July 16, 2020 and passed away on April 22, 2023.

My little boy was so kind and sweet to everyone around him. Sometimes he was shy if he didn’t know the person or child. He loved soccer because it was his favorite sport. He always cares about his sister’s well-being. He played with her a lot, like they had a little house. They played on the train and passed each other to see who got to the finish line first. Sometimes he played outside and enjoyed playing with older boys; he was always trying to be like them. He loved reading books, his favorite book was, Coco Melon. His favorite TV show was Coco Melon as well. When the time came to eat, he always waited for his sister to eat, he never ate with his sister.

Surviving are his parents, Jairo Neftali Gonzalez Jeronimo and Maryuri Estefany Calix Macedo; a sister, Elizabeth Stephany Gonzalez Calix of Wilmington and a host of many other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday May 6, 2023 in Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive family and friends at the church on Friday evening at the church.

We will always remember my little Angel because he was a special little boy. Your memories will always be in our hearts.
