Memorial Gifts & Donations

Angelo Roy Vuocolo of Bolivia, NC was born on June 13, 1978, and was called home March 11, 2023.
Angelo was a big-hearted man, with a twinkle in his eyes and an all-encompassing hug. In his 44 earthly years, he lived a significant life that is and will forevermore be cherished by many.
As a boy, Angelo was boisterous; he played baseball, football, basketball, and wrestled. He began high school in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania and graduated in the class of 1996 from Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in Michigan. He earned an Associate of Science from Keiser University in Golf Management and maintained Class A Journeyman’s Licenses.

While Michigan was largely home to Angelo, he travelled to beautiful corners of the world and throughout the United States. He worked as a Salesman and a skilled Elevator Mechanic. In 2021, he went on to begin his own business, Elevators Now. As a man, Angelo was a devoted, present father. He sang to his children nightly, played with them, and was their protector. He even recently started teaching the boys to ski! Angelo enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He could always be found drinking a Pepsi and was ever ready to share his thoughts.

Angelo had a sharp mind, a gift for craftmanship and cared deeply for those around him. He never met a stranger, never hesitating to help someone, anyone. He held a clear vision for how things should be and did his best to do just that, including looking out for his parents. His perfect crooked grin, deep voice, long stories, and generous spirit are already missed.

Angelo is survived by his sons, Aldyn Joshua Harris, and Angelo Rocco Vuocolo; his parents Debra Ann Vuocolo and Anthony Mark Vuocolo; a sister, Christina Delphine Hall (Bryan Travis Hall), and two brothers, Anthony Robert Vuocolo (Victoria Lynn Vuocolo) and Camden McKinney Vuocolo; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many cousins, friends, and loved ones.

A time of visitation will be held at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel Friday, March 17, 2023 from the hours of 6:00PM till 8:00PM At 7:45PM, guests will have the opportunity to share memories about Angelo.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Charismatic Episcopal Church of St. Peter the Fisherman, 314 South Carolina Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401. Burial will follow at Sealawn Memorial Park, Hampstead, NC.

    Ted Grainger III says:
Angelo was a good man and friend. My guy, Ted Grainger III, worked for him and he was good to us. Always had a smile and a smart remark but it's what made him, well him. We both played the same bingo game so he never failed to ask me for tips or give me some to help me win bigger. He helped us move in our new place. He was more than just TJ's boss he was his friend and it hurts our heart never to see him again. It's still a struggle everyday but I always keep in mind that he's up there laughing and hopefully making sure we choose the right path. You are missed Angelo today and always

Angelo was a kind man with a beautiful smile. He celebrated with me on several important dates and bought my dinner without announcing he did so, I had to ask everyone and everyone said they didn’t, so I knew it was him. He didn’t want recognition, he just wanted to be kind. His kindness to his 2 sons and the attention he shown was heartwarming to watch. The love in his sons Aldyn’s and Angelo’s heart and life was apparent in all ways. His admiration and love of his mother, my friend, Deb, was inspiring to be around. I’m happy I met you and I’m so sorry you’ve left this world too soon. Holding love, hugs, kindness, prayers for mom Deb, son Aldyn, and son Angelo during this time of grief and mourning. I love you all.
