Ann – Eliza “Annie” Ashe Martin 30, of Burgaw died Tuesday February 1, 2011.

Annie was born in New Hanover County December 31, 1980, and was raised in Burgaw.

From an early age on, Annie loved people and “all creatures great and small” at our farm. She was so loved by her family and friends – so bubbly and full of life – is already and forever will be, missed by all.

Surviving are her parents, Jim and Sally Martin,  daughter Micah Vollrath and Micah’s dad Ken Vollrath ,  son Kaiden Townsend and Kaiden’s dad, Brian Townsend,  brother Ken and his wife Kristal, sister Bekkah and her husband Sean,  brother Sam and his wife Katie,  and nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at 10 AM Friday, February 4, 2011 at Ashton Farm in Burgaw.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: Pavillon International, 241 Pavillon Place, Mill Spring, NC 28756. Attn: Melanie Zapf

    To Momma Sally Annie & Family I have been up the dusty road to the farm alot must say I have never felt anything less than Joy and Excitment could wait. Well tommorow morning is gonna be differnt without my sweet dear friend Annie.     Jim and Sally, was so sad to hear about Annie dying. She truly was bright adn sunny. When I think about her I remember her working in the green house and helping raise the puppies, all her selfless work at the farm and her beautiful pond she put in your front yard.
