Ann Busher, affectionately known as “Gussie” by her family and grandchildren, died on Sunday, June 28, 2020.

She was born on April 23, 1929 to Robert Trenor and Miriam K. Young. Ann resided in Somers, New York until her retirement. She was employed as the secretary for the mayor of the City of White Plans, New York and then as a Court Clerk in the Town of Somers, NY.

She was married to the love of her life John S. Busher, Jr. for 69 years and upon retirement moved to the Olde Point Golf Community located in Hampstead, North Carolina where they have resided, played golf and developed the most wonderful loving friendships for over 30 years.

Ann was known for her vibrant classy style, sas and wit. She was the best entertainer and the life of any party. She loved to dance! When the music started, she and John were the first couple on the floor and it was no surprise when they were the last.

She is survived by her husband John S Busher, Jr., two children John S, Busher, III (Karen) of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, and Megan Perkins (Jon) of Woodbridge, VA., four grandchildren: John S. Busher, IV, Bronwyn (Brynn) Busher; Benjamin (Ben) Perkins wife Kayla; Emily Perkins Greenwood husband John and two great grandchildren Maxwell Ann (Ben & Kayla) soon to arrive Eleanor Rey (Emily & John)

Because of the current COVID-19 epidemic, a Celebration of Ann’s life will be announced in the future.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Humane Society. Gussie loved animals.
