Annette Henderson Bender

Annette Henderson Bender, 67, of Wilmington, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, October 26, 2011.

Annette was born in Onslow Co. on July 9, 1944, the daughter of the late Stanley C. and E. Madeline McIntosh Henderson. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Anthony King.

She was foster parent and loved children.

Surviving are her husband, Paul Bender of the home; two sons, Kirk King and wife, Deena of Wilmington, NC and Derek King and wife, Pam of Lake Waccamaw, NC; five grandchildren, Kirstan Whitley, Morgan, Blake, Heather, and Zachary King.; great grandson, Andrew Whitley; two sisters, Joyce Adair and husband, Donald of Jacksonville, NC and Beverly Yopp and husband, Jimmy of Sneads Ferry, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, October 31, 2011 at First Baptist Church, 411 Market Street, Wilmington, NC by Dr. Jim Everette.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 and First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 411 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
