Arthur Elray Pridgen 95, of Wilmington passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Accordius Health of Wilmington.

Elray was born in Wilmington on March 18, 1924 the son of the late Charles Frank and Ida Lee Pridgen. He retired as a Emergency Medical Techician in 1984, with a private Ambulance company. Elray was one of the first EMT’s in North Carolina. He was a member of Sunset Park Baptist Church.

Also preceding him in death are a granddaughter Kimberly Lynn Pridgen, brothers, Charlie, Bill and Jessie Brunell Pridgen, sisters Leona P. Inman and Carolyn Pridgen.

He leaves behind his children A.C Pridgen and wife Julie; Robert Pridgen and wife Jeannette, Juanita P. Isenberg and husband Jay; and Carolyn P. Benoist. Eleven grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren and one great-great Grandson.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2020 at Bellevue Cemetery. The family will be at Wilmington Funeral Chapel Monday from 11:30-12:30 PM to see friends.
