Arthur Julius Crowley, Jr.

Arthur J. Crowley, Jr. of Ash, passed away May 4, 2008 at Britthaven of North Chase in Wilmington, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur J. Crowley, Sr. and Jennie Wallace Crowley, brother Earl Ray Crowley and son Jimmie Allen Crowley.

Arthur is survived by his wife Esther Crowley, of the home, children Rocky Coulbourne, Kansas City, MO, John Crowley, Goldsboro, NC., daughter Michelle Glowatch, of the home, 27 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, sisters Lena (Douglas) McKenzie, Patsy (David) Herndon, Julia Herndon, and brother John W. (Rosa) Crowley.

Arthur was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a recipient of a Purple Heart. He was a truck driver for over 50 years for Consolidated Freightways and also ran Crowley’s Ceramic Shop with his wife Esther in Ocean Isle.
