Ashley Clay McDaris, age 55, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

He was born on July 4, 1962, in Wilson, NC, the son of Issac Edison McDaris, Jr and Rose Pittman McDaris.

Clay lived life simply with a joy for music and working on his bikes.

Clay is survived by his daughter Emily Monk; brothers Eddie McDaris and soul mate Eloise Mitchell of Micro, Roger McDaris and wife Sheila of Selma; sisters Lisa Stephenson and husband Andy of Asheville and Amanda Sessom of Kenly; several nephews, a niece, great nieces and great nephew. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rose P. Sessom and father, Ed Jr. McDaris.
