Audrey Maxine Kenney-McLean

Audrey Maxine Kenney-McLean age 79 passed suddenly at her home Sunday, October 5, 2014.

Audrey returned South to Wilmington, North Carolina almost 30 years ago from Massachusetts. She was born in Marion County, South Carolina on December 12, 1934. Prior to her retirement she enjoyed working in the retail field for 10 years.

Audrey was a member of the Pine Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in many church activities. Audrey loved spending time working in her garden, watching the birds and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three children. Cynthia Moody of North Carolina, Bobby Moody of Leland, North Carolina and James Galanis of Townsend, Massachusetts. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren Bernadette Marcum of Florida, Nicole Buckingham of Wilmington, North Carolina, Robin Moody of Wilmington, North Carolina, Stacey Moody of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Andrew Slazenik of New Hampshire and Craig Slazenik of Massachusetts. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren Brittney Molligi of Maine, Sophia, Selena and Victor Buckingham of Wilmington, North Carolina. She is also survived by several members of her extended family.

A Memorial Service will be 11 AM Monday October 13, 2014 at Pine Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Hall officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Audrey’s memory to the Pine Valley Baptist Church, 3940 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28403
