Barbara Grover Hall, 87, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 in Wilmington, NC.

She leaves her husband of 64 years, Earl Bennett Hall, her daughters, Jane, Linda, Theresa, Anne and Jennie, 8 grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son John, sons-in-law, Larry and Rick, and her sister Edith.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Barbara was a strong and graceful woman.  Petite in stature, she was a force to be reckoned with.  Barbara spent her early years raising her 6 beautiful children and volunteering in the school system as a teacher’s assistant while her husband traveled frequently for his work.  Upon his retirement, Barbara and Earl spent the next phase of their life traveling throughout the world.  Barbara also loved golfing and working puzzles.  She loved all children deeply and spent her later years working in the Montessori school system.

A devout Catholic, Barbara was deeply involved with the church, giving of her time and energy over the years.  She was a loving woman who never met a stranger.  Known for her quick wit and mischievous sense of humor, people were drawn to her, creating many lifelong friendships.  Barbara will be deeply missed by all.

A memorial mass will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Okatie, SC followed by a celebration of life at Sigler’s Rotisserie and Seafood, 12 Sheridan Park Circle, Bluffton, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.

    My family and I send our prayers and thoughts to Earl and the entire family. "Aunt Barbara" was a big part of our family for many years, we never lost touch.She was definitely "One Of A Kind." We remember the Morris Plains years all the time.We loved her!!
