Barbara Jean Cusatis, age 71, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.

She was born in Staten Island, NY, on August 29, 1947, the daughter of Harry Porter and Virginia Bonda Porter of New Jersey.

Together with her parents she is survived by her son Dean Cusatis of Graham, NC; brother Steven Porter of New Jersey and sister Charlotte of Florida.

Barbara’s passion for traveling the world will continue as her ashes float gently across the oceans in keeping with her wishes.

    Our moms were sisters and Barbara Jean and I were born one day/one year apart. My loved her for being my cousin and friend. I didn't have a chance to see her since she moved here to Wilmington,NC, She will always be in my heart and I will miss her.

    Barb and I were best friends from 6th grade through high school. We lost contact over the years but occasionally called each other. She was always fun-loving and adventurous. My deepest sympathy to her family .
