Barbara Jean Jewett

Barbara Jean Jewett, 75, a wonderful mother, of Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Oneonta, New York on April 18, 1941 to Lowell and Elizabeth Reed, went to be with the Lord on May 4th, 2016.

Barbara was an active member of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church, serving as a member of the Daughters of the King, and was also a long time participant in AlAnon and Alateen where she developed long lasting friendships that she cherished. Barbara never met a stranger. She enjoyed the arts, the beach, and local live music.

She is survived by her sister Judy Matteo of Colonie, NY, her daughter Eileen Kuntz, son-in-law Brian Kuntz, grandchildren, Sean Kuntz and Kaitlin Franklin as well as her son Daniel Barr and his girlfriend Patty Bass.

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to all of her friends and acquaintances who loved, helped, and cherished Barbara during her time in Wilmington.

A memorial service will be held for Barbara at the Holy Cross Episcopal Church on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, Barbara would appreciate donations to the Holy Cross Episcopal Church 5820 Myrtle Grove Rd, Wilmington, NC 28409.
