Barry Gene Soles Honeycutt age 56 of Currie passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center.

Barry was born in Whiteville, NC on August 22, 1963.

Barry was a professional home repair contractor and owner of Honeycutt Drywall and Home Renovations. He enjoyed building and woodworking. When we was not working he enjoyed spending time with him family and going to the Race Track, especially in Myrtle Beach, racing with his car # 76.
Barry is survived by his wife, Wendy Newton Honeycutt; five sons, Dylan Honeycutt, Joshua Honeycutt (Crystal), Caleb Honeycutt, Logan Nickel, and Ryker Nickel; daughter, Haley Moose; his mother Janice Averitte Blake; grandchildren, Jesse Honeycutt, Trevor Honeycutt, Noah Honeycutt, Aubree Seamster, and Hannah Bresdale; brother, Timothy Ray Honeycutt (Sharon) and sister, Vicki Townsend. Preceded in death by his father, Eugene Soles, brother Charles Randy Honeycutt, and step-father Eustice Blake.

Memorial service will be planned and announced.

    From the time I was 5 and until the ends of time I'll always look up to barry like I do my uncle joe. He had the gift of making positive impacts in a lot of peoples lives. He was the very rare few you could find that would give you his unconditional love. I've said it too many times, but his 4th of July parties always brought people closer together. I love you guys forever and always, and if there is anything I can possibly do to help please dont hesitate to call.

    Barry was my first cousin and my BROTHER i loved him with all my heart and will miss him terribly. He took care of me numerous times in my life as i did for him as well. He would give you the only he had on his back if you needed it. Never ever met a stranger he love everyone and everything and he loved life. I know he is in a better place bit im pissed at myself because i didn't get to see him or say good bye and i love you. Barry im sorry good bye brother and i love you.
