Betty A. Krafft (nee Szymanski) age 85, formerley of Williamsville, NY. passed away January 17, 2013 after a lengthy illness, in Wilmington, NC.

Beloved wife of the late Karl A. Krafft; loving mother of Kristina K. (late Paul) Sheehan of Atlanta, GA, Paula K. (J. Brett) Bachman of Wilmington, NC, Susan K. (Dr. Erick) Laine of Des Moines, IA, and Karl A., Jr. (Kathleen Stringer) of Ann Arbor, MI. Cherished grandmother of Megan S. (Jay) Arena and Patrick P. (Regina) Sheehan; Jennifer L. (Justin) Pascarella, Matthew B. Bachman and Olivia B. (Adam) Pittman; Kelan E., Forrest J. and William C. Laine; Colin T. and Karl Reed Krafft. Nine great-grandchildren also survive. Daughter of the late Edwin and Clara Szymanski; sister of the late Ruth Hess.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral mass on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 12 pm at St. Therese Catholic Church, 207 South Lumina Avenue, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480.

    You're right you can't bring him back, but you can keep his memory alive for his falimy. My HUGE suggestion is to write a note to each of the kids & his wife and tell them each a funny or sweet story or anecdote that will make them smile and be proud that their dad/husband brought light to some one else's little world. They will love and cherish that because its something that they may not have known about him and have been able to share with each other, but you can bring the confidence that they love a man who was loved by others as well.
