Betty Ann Cawthon, 74 of Hampstead passed away August 12, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy L. Cawthon, Jr. and 2 brothers and a sister.

Betty is survived by her son Roy L. Cawthon, III and wife Pamela of Hampstead, daughters Theresa Stamper and husband Douglas of Kingsport, TN, Jama Blackistone and husband Thomas of High Point NC, Tamma McDonald and husband Michael of Hampstead, 3 sisters and a brother, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.

She had deep compassion for her friends and neighbors. She loved being a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and looked forward to welcoming her 6th great grandchild in November.
