Ms. Betty was a very special lady. I had the privilege of knowing her through First Baptist Church. She loved my family like her own. She kept my boys when they were in the nursery and she always went out of her way to give us a kiss on Sunday. She lived for the Lord and now she lives with the Lord. If Miss Betty wasn’t talking about Jesus she was talking about the love of her life, Floyd. Spread your red lipstick in heaven sweet lady.

My heart is breaking along side all those who love and was loved by this dear soul; she will be missed. She leaves a void that only Jesus can fill. Though I feel sadness I also feel joy because her faith is made evident. She is in the presence of our Lord! She is celebrating with her loved ones that proceeded her. What a homecoming! Ms Betty represented Jesus in her life on how she loved and served others. I have such wonderful memories of her holding and rocking me babies in the nursery; kissing on them-leaving behind her trademark red lipstick . She genuinely loved us and we knew it! I feel so blessed to have had her in my life, in the life of my children and my grand babies! Her advice was wise and Godly; it always came at the right time that helped shape me into a better mother, wife and woman. Thank you Ms. Betty for all the warm hugs and loving words of encouragement.

I love Ms Betty so much! She was the sweetest person and ALWAYS uplifting. Ms Betty could make you feel like the most loved person in the world. I’ve never heard her speak unkind to or about anybody and she ALWAYS showed and spoke her love of Jesus a as nc how he loves us. I’m certain God greeted her with open arms and said… Well done, my good and faithful servant. I’ll certainly miss Ms Betty !

    Jennifer Whitley says:
Ms. Betty was the kindest most loving person I’ve ever known. She always had a beautiful red smile, a warm hug and kind word. She loved my three boys like they were part of her family and I always knew they were going to get a little extra love when she was serving in the nursery at FBC. She will be so missed but I know that she is with Jesus whom she loved so well.
