Billy Marion Hardee

Billy M. Hardee, 69, of Wilmington passed away Wednesday April 18, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Billy was born on August 13, 1948 the son of the late Henry Marion and Mary Frances Lang Hardee. He was a veteran of the US Army Reserve, Retired and also retired from the Civil Service.

He leaves behind his wife of 42 years Wilma Hardee of the home; sons, Christopher Scott Hardee and Mary Mathews of Sneads Ferry and James Edward Lane and wife Deanna of Rocky Point; five grandchildren Jamie, Robbie and Robert Lane, Avery and Jackson Hardee; special cousin Jackie Leonard and  his feline friends; Elvis, Tux and Pickles and many, many close friends.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday April 21, 2018 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel with military honors. Reverend Trudy Wilder and Chaplain Dudley Neal will officiate the service. He will be buried in a private ceremony at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.

The family will see friends Friday afternoon from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
