Bobby H. Brown

Memorial Gifts & Donations

Bobby Hall Brown of Wilmington NC passed away on April 4, 2015 at his home located in Church Hill Estates of Wilmington. Bobby was born March 4, 1943 in Erwin NC and was the youngest child of the late Fred Ward Brown and Georgie Hall Brown of Erwin NC.

Bobby is survived by his wife Judy N Brown and their beloved dog (Baby) of Wilmington and his only child Amy L Brown also of Wilmington, Bobby has 2 surviving sisters Patricia (goody) Whitman and Peggy Fowler.

Bobby also has 2 granddaughters and their families…Danny (DJ) & Ciera L Alley (Bobby’s Great grandchildren- Jayden and Kaylie Alley) and Jordin M Williams (Bobby’s Great grandson- Riley Joseph Hall Price) from of Wilmington.

Bobby worked for G&H Construction until his retirement from working in asphalt for over 55 years. As a family owned and operated business G&H became more than a place of employment to Bobby and Judy this was a very strong extended family as well.

I was with my dad the Monday before he passed and he was on the phone with G&H and telling them he would be back to work in a week or so…… (Typical of my father regardless of his health) working was his life and the fact that he loved the people he worked with kept him going the past couple of years.

Bobby was a cherished, loved and well respected man.

Looking at our azaleas today made us think of you dad……… Bobby’s one thing he loved was watching his flowers grow and working on his yard. Every spring he would say “looks like the azaleas will be nice this year” he always made sure his squirrel feeder had corn and his rocking chair on the porch was exactly how he wanted it. He loved being outdoors and any time you rode by you would him sitting on the porch in his striped button up blue jeans and trucker hats. He watched every neighbor and greeted everyone that walked by. He loved spring it was when he was the happiest because he could hop on his riding lawn mower with his poodle baby and mow his grass and trim his flowers. We will always see him in our azaleas and smile. We will miss you so much and these past few days have been extremely hard but I know what you would tell us if you were here “it’ll be alright, just remember everything happen for a reason girls ” .We are so glad we had you in our lives. There is no one else in this world we could have pictured as our gran/dad/husband……….

Sweetest man on earth! Heaven is blessed to have an Angel that earned his wings on earth every single day! Truly will miss knowing we all had someone like him to turn to no matter what. He never judged and was always there for anyone who needed anything! We are going to miss all your hats you used to wear… We are going to miss everything about you…. Rest in peace our beautiful angel, we’ll love you forever.

From Walking the Mall eating at Salt Works II Riding around in his company truck and watching the Duke Blue Devils play basketball…..there is almost not enough words to describe you except perfect!

Sending my love and prayers in memory of the most wonderful man in the world. My life was enriched having known and loved him. He always treated me like a daughter even when I was bad! I loved him for that and treasured his wisdom always. I never felt like an only child because growing up I spent nearly everyday with Amy. Judy and Bobby are like a second set of parents to me. Words cannot express my broken heart. I love you all and I'm sorry for your loss.

Always so nice to the kids constantly turning up at his door to play with Amy. We called them Uncle Bobby and Aunt Judy even after we found out we weren't really related.
