Bobby Lee Baker, 69, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.
Bobby was born on May 8, 1949 in Boscobel, Wisconsin to Richard Newell and Elaine Wetter Newell. On June 30, 1978, he married to love of his life, Nancy Bailey in Davenport, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bailey Baker; son, Mike Kelling; daughter, Revilleann Tallon; granddaughter Bella Tallon; and great-grandson, Carter Tallon.
Also surviving is brother-in-law, Ted Bailey; mother, Elaine and spouse, Doug Knudtson; sisters and spouses, Nettie (John) Rosenow, Barb (Larry) Newell; brother and spouse, Doug (Kathy) Knudtson and an extended family.
Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time and worshiping at the beach. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. He was an active member of the Carolina Beach American Legion Post 129, Pleasure Island Parrot Heads, Senior Center in Leland and Kure Memorial Lutheran Church at Kure Beach, NC. But the love of his life was his family.
After 30 plus years of driving from Iowa to the beaches of North Carolina, saying “someday”, we finally moved.
The family would like to thank the Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their care concerns.
