Borden “Bordy” Scott Black, 47, of Wilmington died Sunday May 11, 2008 at his home.

Born in Dade County, Florida December 27, 1960 the son of Dr. Marion Martin Black and Sara Elizabeth Drum Black, how reside in Conover, NC. Bordy worked in sales in automobile dealerships as a finance manager.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his fiancé Annette Ellenburg of the home, son Marion Black of Jonesboro, AK. Daughters Brook and Casandra Black of Taylorsville, NC. Two brothers Christopher Black, of Conover and Marion Martin Black III of Homestead, FL.

Services will be private.

    Hi Bordy, I am still writing to you because I just can't seem to get over you and still can't believe that you are really gone. I still cry over you every day and talk to you almost every night. I still go out and talk to the star that I have picked out as you watching over us. I have called your cell phone twice tonight just to hear your voice. Casey and Brooke both tested positive for the Factor V blood disorder that Marty has. We now know that you had it also. Please help me to keep them healthy and keep them safe. I am so scared for them and I wish you were here to help us through this and just be a part of our lives. I told your mom but I haven't heard from her since. I so wanted your family to be a part of Casey and Brooke's lives but I can't make them. They are going to half to make an effort. Please help me in this matter. We wish we knew what happened to you that night. Did you get the balloons and letters that we sent to you from the beach at Wilmington on Father's Day? I don't know what Casey wrote, she wouldn't let me see them. We all miss you terribly and would give anything if you were still here. We love you dearly and always will. Carla, Casey, and Brooke.

    Hi Bordy It has been awhile since you Passed and i want you to know we still miss you so, so much there is not a day that passes that you are not on my mind I talk to Annette about everyother day i am so glad that you found someone like her to be with she is a wonderful girl and we have become the best of friends and i am so glad for that she calls and talks to marty and I just think that is so wonderful. I wanted to let you know marty has to go back in for Surgery we hope just one more time they have to go back in and tie off the tempory Artery Graft they did he goes back in on july 10th he is scared as so am I I want you to please watch over him that day and make sure all goes well I know you will and i know you will be there I won't have you to call this time to update but i told Annette i would be calling her.     Hello Bordy, I can't believe this website is still up for you. Sally had told me that it would probably only be available for 30 to 60 days but I had saved it on my favorites on the computer and clicked on it tonight and saw where Lisa had posted just a few weeks ago. I'm so glad that it is still here for me to talk to you. You and I both know that I still talk to you via the star in the sky almost every night. I can't even drive to work without hearing some song on the radio that reminds me of you (Eric Clapton and the Doors) and I have to change the channel because I start crying uncontrolably. I still miss you every day and still cry over you almost every day. Casey still misses you terribly and cries over you often. Brooke still doesn't quite understand. She started Kindergarten this year. She is so cute and sweet and I cry because you are not here to talk to her about big school. Have to submit again. Out of words. Love Carla, Casey, and Brooke

    Hello Bordy, I'm signing on again. It just still breaks my heart that you are not here for all of this. Even though you hadn't been here physically, you aren't here for them to talk to and tell you about their day. Brooke cries every couple of weeks to see Granny and Pawpaw and I don't know what to tell her. I have tried to get your mother to be a part of their lives and she just doesn't call. I'm going to try again though. I know that is what you would want me to do. Please help us in this matter. The kids just want to see them and be with them once in a while. I'm running out of excuses and I don't know what to do. Please help me to help them. We love you Bordy more than you could ever know and more than we ever knew. We miss you so so so much.
