Brenda Joyce Roberts Benton, 77, of Leland passed away on Monday July 17, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Center.

She was born in Wilmington, NC on December 27, 1945; daughter of the late Herman Roberts and Mamie Lewis Roberts. She was a member of Glory Land Baptist Church and loved her yard work and keeping her roses so beautiful.

Survivors include her loving husband, Leroy Benton, her two daughters; Marie Benton and Ronda Register (Chris), a brother, Herman Roberts, five caring grandchildren; Jessica Hayes (Mark), Amber Gulledge, Gracen Dankovchik (Lucas), Zackary Rose (Olivia) and Samantha Robinson (Tyler) and five loving great grandchildren; Preston Register, Lincoln Robinson, Charlotte Robinson, Poppy Robinson and Lawson Rose.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday July 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Wilmington Funeral Chapel with Rev. Arnold Griffin officiating. Burial will follow King Memorial Cemetery in Leland, NC. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 20, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service.

    Brenda had such a strong faith and love for Christ. Such a beautiful spirit and soul. Her beauty exuded through her spiritual walk.
