Brenda Joyce Bridges

Brenda Joyce (Pope) Bridges, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on July 31, 2023, in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born on August 29, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland. Brenda was blessed with a life that spanned 82 years.

Brenda will be remembered for her pioneering spirit, always seeking new experiences and embracing challenges with courage and determination. She had a heart of gold and dedicated much of her time to fostering children, providing them with love, guidance, and support. Brenda found immense joy in being surrounded by her family and friends, cherishing every moment spent together.

Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, Emanuel Bridges, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Her loving memory will forever live on in the hearts of her daughter, Sharon Davis, and son, Gregory Tucker (Shon); grandchildren, Scott Tucker (Shulamite) and Jacqueline Love, that brought immeasurable happiness to her life, and her great-granddaughter, Marianna Love, brought an extra sparkle to her eyes.

In addition to her immediate family, Brenda leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who were touched by her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love.

A memorial service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on August 5, 2023, at 3:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 4806 Gordon Road, Wilmington, NC 28411. During this gathering, we will honor Brenda’s memory, sharing stories and reminiscing about the beautiful moments we shared with her.

Brenda Joyce (Pope) Bridges will forever remain in our hearts as a remarkable woman who lived her life with grace, humility, and an unwavering devotion to family and friends. May she find eternal peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
