Brenda Lea Bland

It is with a heavy heart to say that Brenda Lea Bland (46) passed away July 13, 2021 at 10:05 P.M. at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center. She had been battling stage 3 rectal cancer since November 8, 2019. January 6, 2021 the news was given that the cancer had metastasized and was deemed terminal.

To say that Brenda was the life of the party is an understatement. She could always make people laugh so hard their sides hurt. She always was able to provide a safe place for anyone to come and get what they were searching for, whether it be a venting session, a distraction from the world, or just a safe place to hang out at. She was a sweet woman with a heart of gold. She would give anyone the shirt off of her back without hesitation. To say that the world will not be the same without her doesn’t begin to cover it. She was a light shining bright in a world full of darkness. She will be truly missed, and is gone way too soon. Heaven must’ve been needing a hero, somebody just like her

She is survived by her daughter Emily Bland, her fraternal twin Terry Lee Bland Jr., her brother Eldon Bland, her father Terry Bland Sr, nieces and nephews, and a couple aunts and uncles.

Fly high with the angels mom, and rest easy with no more pain. We love you and miss you dearly!!
