Brittany Taylor Leap, age 23, of Wilmington, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born on June 25, 1995, in Plano, TX, the daughter of Richard A. Leap and Sandra Castillo Leap.

Brittany is survived by her father Richard, mother Sandy, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends.

Despite her physical limitations she lived her life with grace. In her short 23 years she was able to experience more than most. She loved playing board and card games. She was quite the UNO champ.

She will be remembered for being strong willed, feisty and having the best disposition.

No services are planned at this time.

    Brittany was a beautiful young lady and our family was saddened to hear of her passing today at mass. Knowing that she passed away on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception we can picture Brittany in the loving arms of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
