    R J Evans says:
Bruce will forever be in my heart and mind. He was one of my dearest friends, and was truly more like a brother to me. When I moved from Virginia to North Carolina way back in 1992, I met Bruce in a band and we left that band to start our own. He was a brand new Christian back then, and his passion for his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ showed so beautifully in the lyrics he wrote for our songs. His family reached out to me and embraced me as their own, and all these years later, during this time of sadness - yet celebration, for we know Bruce is with the Lord now, truly 'home' - I am finding them embracing me again, as we share in our memories. I was blessed immensely, beyond words, to have been able to call Bruce my friend, and my brother.

I never met your beloved but am a UNCW employee and enjoy the beautifully cared for green areas on campus, which no doubt Bruce and his colleagues sustained and rejuvenated season after season.
