Burrell “Buzz” Cayton, Jr. age 79, of Winnabow, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Bolivia.

He was born in Aurora, IN on July 12, 1940, the son of Burrell Edgar Cayton, Sr. and Gertrude Marie Clark Cayton.

Buzz served his country with honor and distinction as a Seaman Boatswain Mate in the United States Coast Guard.

After his service Buzz worked for many years as a Carpenter in the Construction Industry.

When not working Buzz enjoyed woodworking, dancing and spending time with his beloved wife Nancy and their family.

Together with his wife Nancy, Buzz is survived by his sons Shawn Eric Cayton of Aurora, IN, and Rodney Wayne Cayton of Lawrenceburg, IN; daughters Tamara “Tammy” Dawn Knue of Lawrenceburg, IN and Kelly Taylor of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Barry and stepchildren David Barrow, John Ravencraft, Vivian L. Henry, Desarie E. York and Michelle McBeath; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Buzz was predeceased by his parents and his sister Betty McQueary.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the American Legion Post 10, 702 Pinegrove Drive, Wilmington.

    Buzz and his wife Nancy have been my neighbors for 22 years. So humble and talented in most anything he set his mind to do. Honored to have known him. Nancy, I'm right next door if you need anything. May he RIP and may you find comfort in the fact of knowing he's with his Heavenly Father's presence, no more sorrow or pain.
