Memorial Gifts & Donations

Caleb Ray Walker, of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina passed away on July 28, 2022, completing his journey of 21 years. Caleb was born on July 8, 2001 to parents Raymond E. Walker and Samantha J. Drain He was a graduate of Dixon High School (Class of 2019) and was currently employed as an auto mechanic for Stevenson-Hendrick Honda.

Caleb was always an active young man with many interests.  At an early age, he developed a love for the water and enjoyed fishing, boating and surfing.  He also enjoyed skateboarding, hunting, wrestling, and tinkering on just about anything.  His real passion was motorcycles.

Caleb lived life on his own terms, with a big heart and a gentle soul. He never met a stranger and could charm you with his infectious laugh, big brown eyes and his edgy sense of humor.  He was a generous young man that deeply loved his family and friends.

Caleb is survived by his parents Samantha (Mike) Drain and Raymond (Christian) Walker; two sisters, Cali Walker and Haleigh Hines; brother, Austin Drain; grandparents, Kathy Johnson, June Stanley, James (Tina) Walker, Sheila (Jerry) Mallard; Sandi Pringle, David (Marie) Hines; great-grandparents, “Grammie” Bonnie McLaughlin; Wendell (Patsy) Walker; Thelma (Larry) Cassell; George (Dorothy) Rivenbark; cousins by blood, brothers by love, Luke and Leyton Dewyea; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.

Caleb was preceded in death by his grandfather “Poppie” Otis Johnson and his great-grandfather “Pop” Sonny McLaughlin.  While our hearts are heavy and our world is less bright, there is no doubt that these two are smiling by his side now… but we know who is really keeping those two straight.

The family will host a Celebration of Life for family and friends on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 2:00PM till 4:00PM, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
