Gino Calogero Maniscalchi, age 85 of Wilmington NC sadly passed away at New Hanover Regional Medical Center on May 19, 2023.
Gino was born on March 22, 1938 in Alcamo, Sicily (Italy). He worked in all avenues of construction and specialized in Tile Setting for many years.
Gino was a great man of faith, a devoted father and husband. He loved his grandchildren/great grandchildren above all. A true and amazing man. Strong not only physically but spiritually. A super special man that fought until the very end. His legacy will live in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those he reached out to. No one who ever met Gino forgot his passion for his love of the accordion and many other instruments. He was truly after God’s own heart. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Gino is survived by his wife Rosaria Bisesi, his sons Piero (Cinzia) and Aristide (Beverly), his daughters Serena (Giovanni) and Rosa (James), his 2 step daughters Gabriella and Enza along with a stepson Andrew (Lynn) and his 8 grandchildren (Thomas, Kevin, Robert, Alessia, Allen, Mario, Amelia, and Aniela) and two great grand daughters (Kylie and Lila), and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services are planned for 5 pm Sunday May 21, 2023 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
