Bryan was born and raised in Wilmington, where he developed a strong sense of community and a love for the coastal beauty of his surroundings. He graduated from Hoggard High School in the Class of 1986, and later went on to become a graduate of Cape Fear Community College as a Machinist. His dedication to his craft led him to work as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Construction, where he left an indelible mark with his skills and professionalism.
Beyond his work, Bryan had a variety of interests that kept him engaged and fulfilled. He had a passion for boating and sport fishing, particularly King Mackerel Fishing, which allowed him to appreciate the ocean’s vast wonders. As a devoted Carolina Tar Heel Fan, he eagerly followed their triumphs and celebrated their victories. In the world of NASCAR, his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr., and he relished the excitement of every race. Additionally, Carl enjoyed target shooting, honing his skills and finding solace in the precision of marksmanship.
Bryan’s family and friends meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Yvonne Marie “Bunny” Chinnis Marshburn. Left to cherish his memory are his father, Carl Browning Marshburn III, his brother Daren Marshburn, and his niece Sable Marshburn; two aunts, Anne Stephens of Wilmington and Susan Snakenburg of Oak Island. Their bond was unbreakable, and Bryan’s presence will forever be felt in their lives.
