Carlos Anthony Brunetti, age 67 of Wilmington passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Carlos was born in Wilmington on November 25, 1952 to the late Valerio Brunetti and Joan Andrews Brunetti.

Carlos was a talented Chef in the Wilmington area for many years including working at the BridgeTender and operating Carlos Catering. He enjoyed being at the beach, boating, sailing and hanging out with his many friends.

He is survived by his brother and sister in-law George and Cindy Brunetti of Burgaw; niece, Joanna Brunetti and nephew, Stephen Brunetti; along with extended family in Argentina and his many friends in Wilmington.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, June 6, 2020 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church officiated by Fr. Steven Klund. Burial will be in Oleander Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the National Kidney Foundation.

    Carlos was a one-name celebrity for sure! He always made us smile-no matter the circumstances! His fancy dance moves, infectious laugh, and endless stories will never be forgotten! I wish I could meet another Carlos but I know I never will! I am so blessed to have been his friend and thankful for all the wonderful memories I have to share about our times together!     I met Carlos some twenty years ago when he began catering for our annual company events. Not only was Carlos an amazing cook, but he was also fun to be around and always got a laugh out of me. Rest in peace my friend, you old charmer you!
