Carlos D. Bullard, Sr age 81 of Delco passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Columbus County on July 11, 1940, to the late Jesse Franklin Bullard and Virginia Formy-Duval Bullard.

Carlos was a faithful member of Delco Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church and was always reading and studying his bible. He was retired from International Paper Co. and was a hardworking farmer and cattleman for many years. He was still farming and caring for his many cows up until his recent illness. He loved and cared for his wife of 65 years and loved and enjoyed spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carlos is survived by his wife of 65 years, Esty Jordan Bullard; his children, Carlos D. Bullard, Jr. and wife Sharon, Rev. Jerome F. Bullard, Sr and wife Gwen, and Becky Bullard; four grandchildren, Jerome F. Bullard, Jr., Carlos D. Bullard, III, Amy Bullard Patrick, and Wesley Bullard; and 12 great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Rev. Patsy Smith, Linda Wallace, and Vicky Tedder. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael “Burlock” Bullard, brother, Newlon Bullard, and a sister, Mary Ann Bullard.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside at 11 am Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Carlos Bullard Family Cemetery on his farm on Water Tank Road.
