During her stay on Earth, Ms. Carmine graduated from Mattawamkeag High School in 1966 and met her husband shortly after. Ms. Carmine and Mr. Harry Albert Grindle were married in 1966; the children from this union were George Raymond Grindle II (now deceased), Dawn Marie Grindle, and Elizabeth Anne Meyer.

Ms. Carmine is survived by her brother Henry Suitter, Jr. and his wife Nancy, her sister Debbie Butler and her daughter Angela Barber, her Aunt Sonya MacAlpine, and her two daughters, Dawn and Elizabeth, and their families – Dawn: son, Alexander and his wife Starlisha along with their children Jahmias and Kaziah; son, Spencer Sylvester and his wife Patricia along with their children Zeyvior and Neyhomi. Ms. Carmine spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother while married. Later in her life she worked as a waitress and in retail. She retired in 2012 and enjoyed her time in Wilmington with her family and friends. She always had a smile and hug ready for those who needed one. Her generosity was displayed in abundance when she would give what she had to others who needed it more. Her most treasured charity was the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
