Carol Lynn Leilani Shrader

Carol Lynn Leilani Shrader, age 54, of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Honolulu, HI on February 16, 1966, the daughter of James Goldie Shrader and Catherine Irene Jackson Shrader.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, James Shrader, her mother, Irene Shrader, and her son Reece Tyler Spencer.
Surviving are her daughter, Brittany Spencer, grandchildren, Cora Spencer and Oliver Kraus, her Fiance, Ron Tripp, her lifelong best friend, Juanita Hodge, and God daughters Sarah Hodge and Rachel Hodge, along with numerous aunts, cousins, and friends. All dearly loved.

Carol worked at what is now NHRMC in the mid 1980’s. She was also a paramedic with Pleasure Island Rescue Squad in the 1980’s. Carol graduated high school in 1984 from Pender Academy. She also attended Miller-Motte College.

Carol enjoyed bowling. She often bowled in leagues with her parents growing up.
Carol’s most favorite thing to do was spend time with loved ones especially her grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
